How Labour Law Guru collects, uses and protects personal data.

Last updated: October 2026.

This policy explains how Labour Law Guru ("we", "us", "the Platform"), Jaipur, India, processes personal data of visitors, registered users and persons whose data is shared with us for professional work, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.

1. Data we collect

  • Registration data: name, email, mobile, organisation, designation, professional membership number, qualifications, experience, city, state and country.
  • Work data: documents and data you upload for a request — for example payroll registers, PF/ESI details, notices and HR records — which may contain personal data of your employees.
  • Queries: details submitted through the contact form.
  • Technical data: a login session cookie and basic server logs needed to operate the website securely.

2. Purpose of use

We use personal data only to verify registrations, deliver the professional work you request, communicate with you, maintain records required by law, and improve the platform. We do not sell personal data or use it for unrelated marketing.

3. Who can see your data

Files and details of a request are visible only to the user who created it, the Labour Law Guru administrator, and the empanelled expert assigned to that request. Experts are bound by confidentiality obligations. Public Expert Directory listings show only the information an expert has agreed to publish.

4. Data uploaded about employees and other individuals

When you upload data relating to your employees or other persons, you confirm that you are entitled to share it for the requested work. Please share only what is necessary; avoid uploading Aadhaar numbers, bank details or health information unless they are essential to the work.

5. Storage and security

The website and files are hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored in hashed form, and access is restricted by login and role. No system is completely secure; please keep your password confidential.

6. Retention

Request files are retained while your account is active and for as long as needed for the work, legal and professional record-keeping. You may ask us to delete files that are no longer required.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent (which may limit our ability to provide services), and raise a grievance. Write to [email protected]; we aim to respond within 30 days.
